The NATD Modern Dance Syllabus is constructed in various section working on various part of the body and technical aspects which are all organised in to set exercises. Within the NATD Syllabus there is a healthy mix of set work and teacher’s arrangements. This allows the teacher the freedom to explore the many different styles of Modern Dance whilst adhering to the technical requirements of the categories with complete freedom in the dance arrangements. Moreover, allowing us to mould our classes to our current students, challenge and show them off accordingly.
To support the syllabus work, here at our Modern Dance Classes Northwich, we like to enthuse and develop our pupils through our own free modern work; consisting of travel work across the room and fun centre work. The free work we focus on are a variety of kicks and flexibility as a whole, turns, pirouettes and chaines, and elevated work encompassing leaps and jumps. All of this free Modern Dance development is done to up to date suitable chart music, providing the children with energy and a chance to develop rhythm and style to familiar music. It is during this time we work on skills and tricks that our students can apply to their syllabus and show work helping to achieve the grades and the applause they deserve.
It is in our Modern Dance Classes where our students are encouraged and really start to develop and investigate with style of movement and really find out what their bodies are capable of. With secure Modern technical foundations put in place, the performance possibilities are endless, thus resulting in our pupils being extremely versatile and performing Show dances that really impress our audiences, similarly to that of when you see the Modern Dance in professional Musicals.
